2. Buy or Reserve Development Cards

Spend your gem tokens, gold jokers, and pearls to purchase a development card from the tableau. Each card gives you either a permanent gem bonus, prestige points, or a special ability. You may also reserve a card to keep it from your opponent—gaining a joker chip in the process.

3. Use Privileges and Trigger Royals

Privilege scrolls allow you to take an extra gem token at a crucial moment. Earning privileges by triggering combos or denying opponents sets up clever plays and surprise advantages.
